Job Description
Reviewing and correcting written content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax errors
Ensuring consistency and clarity in the language and style of the text
Making suggestions for rephrasing and rewording sentences as necessary
Communicating with the team/author to ensure that all feedback is taken into account
Meet tight deadlines
Ensuring the text is compliant with the client's instructions
Provide academic feedback
Skills
You will need to have:
Must be a native English speaker
Undergraduate or Master's degree
Native fluency in English
Strong proofreading and editing skills
Experience proofreading previously
Ability to give strong academic feedback
Excellent attention to detail
Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and syntax rules
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with editing and proofreading a plus
Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style or other major style guides a plus
Experience with technical or legal documents a plus
